Beyond the Classroom

The experiences, activities, and moments that have shaped who I am outside of school.

Leadership

Roles and experiences where I have stepped up to lead, organize, and make a difference for those around me.

Washington Business Week

Washington Business Week is a week-long business simulation program where students run a real company from the ground up. I went two years in a row and had a completely different experience each time.

In 2025, I was the Marketing Manager for my company, Aqualoon. I designed the company logo myself and was in charge of how we presented our brand to everyone at the program.

In 2026, I came back as the Chief Marketing Officer for Closet Companion. I took on even more responsibility that year, leading the whole marketing side of the company and designing the logo again from scratch. Getting to see how much I grew between the two years was honestly one of the most rewarding parts of the whole experience.

Creative Activities

Creative pursuits and extracurriculars that let me explore my artistic side beyond the classroom.

Drama Fest

Drama Fest was something I wasn't sure I'd enjoy at first, but it ended up being one of my favorite experiences in high school. Learning lines, getting into costume, and performing was more fun than I expected.

It also taught me a lot about teamwork and pushed me out of my comfort zone. I became more confident performing in front of others, and getting close with the cast made the whole experience even better.

Academic & Career Development

Programs, courses, and opportunities that have helped me grow academically and prepare for the future.

FBLA State Conference (Spokane, WA)

In April 2026, I qualified for the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Spokane, WA. Getting to state was a big deal for me because I got to compete against students from all over Washington, not just people from my school.

It was honestly one of the coolest experiences I've had. Being around so many students who were interested in business and seeing how seriously they took it made me want to take my own work more seriously too. I also got to represent my school, which made the experience even more meaningful.

Community & Service

Ways I have given back to my community and worked to make a positive impact on the people around me.

Counselor in Training (2025) — I got to work with kindergarteners, which was honestly so fun but also a lot of work. I helped run events and activities throughout the day and learned a ton from the lead counselors about how to keep little kids engaged and happy.

Camp Counselor (2026) — This summer I was fully in charge of my own group of 4th graders. I planned activities, kept everyone together, and really tried to make sure each kid felt included and had a great time. It taught me a lot about patience, leadership, and just how much energy 10-year-olds have.
